Ms. At All Costs Perfectionist

Theme: You push yourself to the limit because you don’t want to “fail”, even at a cost to your mental, emotional, physical, and/or energetic wellbeing.

Ms. At All Costs Perfectionist, you’re out here doing the most, but you don’t really care about what you’re doing…

You do things because you think it’s expected from you, or you were pressured into making decisions in your life because you thought it would impress someone (parents, friends, co-workers, that dummy ex…).

You'll get it done even if it means you need to burn some bridges and burn yourself out. How is that working out for you?? Being such a high-achiever was always rewarded so you never really learned how to take a pause and breathe. You're always on the goal, with a million goals in sight, and you know you'll get it done.

But what at cost?

Well, if you look hard enough, you're probably making really aggressive decisions that feel so intensely right, that you don't really consider the emotional, mental, physically, and spiritual consequences of that. You would rather shame someone and be right, rather than take a more compassionate route.

You're driven by the fear of failure, whether you realize it or not, and most of the goals that you have, aren't even yours! In fact, if you really think about what you put on your plate, even if you believe you put it on your plate, comes from someone else's expectations. Maybe even the career, type of partner, or lifestyle you landed aren't really want YOU wanted, but what you thought was what you're supposed to have.

This type of disconnect makes you someone who has a really hard time listening to intuition and going with the flow. It's hard for you to understand why people make choices that aren't the "smartest", but for their happiness. It's hard for you imagine making a decision for happiness because that doesn't give you any awards.

This fear of failure is your main motivation. And that’s not really healthy.

This type of perfectionism makes you afraid of things you enjoy because you can’t really rationalize doing those things when there is so much to be achieved. This has made you learn how to seek love and acceptance from others, more than from yourself.

Ms. At All Costs Perfectionist, it’s time to see that you are good enough as you are and you are worthy of being loved and accepted for you, not just your achievements!
